OSHA 300A Posting Deadline 2027: What to Post From February 1 to April 30
Post the certified 300A for the 2026 log by February 1, 2027 and keep it up through April 30, 2027, wherever employee notices are usually posted.

The short answer
Post the certified 300A for the 2026 log by February 1, 2027 and keep it up through April 30, 2027, wherever employee notices are usually posted. Every establishment that keeps a 300 Log posts its own summary, including establishments with zero recordable cases.
Key dates
- Throughout 2026: enter each recordable case on the 300 Log and 301 within 7 calendar days of learning about it.
- January 2027: review the 2026 log, total it on the 300A, and have a company executive certify it.
- February 1, 2027: the certified 300A is posted at every establishment that keeps a log.
- March 2, 2027 (Tuesday): covered establishments submit 2026 data to OSHA's Injury Tracking Application.
- April 30, 2027: last day of the posting period.
- December 31, 2027: last day the ITA accepts late 2026 submissions.
The rule in plain English
The recordkeeping year is the calendar year. For the 2026 log, the 300A must be reviewed, certified, and posted by February 1, 2027 and stay up through April 30, 2027 (29 CFR 1904.32(b)(6)). Establishments covered by the electronic submission rule send their data to OSHA's Injury Tracking Application (ITA) by March 2, 2027 (29 CFR 1904.41(c)). The regulation sets the date and OSHA has published no weekend rollover; in 2027 it falls on a Tuesday. All year, each recordable case goes on the log within 7 calendar days.
Plan backward from the deadline
The 300A deadline is missed most often by companies with multiple sites and one central safety owner. Post the annual summary by February 1 and keep it visible through April 30.
- Review the log and total the columns.
- Have a company executive certify the 300A.
- Post it where employee notices go by February 1, 2027.
- Check that it stays up, uncovered, through April 30, 2027.
- Keep a record of when and where it was posted.
If you miss it
Post or submit as soon as you can, and write down why it was late. The ITA accepts 2026 data through December 31, 2027, but a late submission is still a violation that can be cited, and so is a missing or late posting. The maximum penalty in 2026 is $16,550 per serious or other-than-serious violation.
The common mistake
Teams sometimes submit electronically and assume posting is no longer needed.
Deadlines slip when certification waits on data other teams own: payroll hours, headcount, and an executive's calendar. The fix is to plan backward from the posting date, with named owners for hours worked, headcount, the log review, and the signature.
Operations leaders rarely make the recordkeeping call, but they control the schedules, postings, and site managers that make the deadlines work.
Edge cases
- Remote or low-traffic sites still need a conspicuous posting approach for the establishment.
- OSHA's ITA keeps accepting prior-year data after March 2, through December 31, but a late submission is still late.
Worked example
A company with four sites certifies all four summaries on January 25. The two plants post on the break-room boards the next morning; the sales office posts next to its labor law poster; the small repair depot, which is often unstaffed, posts inside the entrance where technicians clock in. Each site manager sends a dated photo, and the photos go in the 2026 folder.
Where 300log helps
300log keeps each establishment's 300A current as cases are entered, so January is a review rather than a rebuild, and it exports ITA-ready files per establishment. Workspaces that connect an ITA API token can also authorize auto-filing of 300A data.

Frequently asked questions
What happens if we miss March 2?
Submit as soon as you can. The ITA accepts prior-year data through December 31, but the submission is late, and failing to submit can be cited.
Do zero-case establishments have deadlines too?
Yes. If you are required to keep records, you certify and post a 300A with zeros, and covered establishments submit it electronically.
When is the 300A posting deadline for the 2026 log?
Post the certified 300A by February 1, 2027 and keep it up through April 30, 2027.
When is the ITA deadline for 2026 data?
March 2, 2027, for establishments covered by 29 CFR 1904.41. The date comes from the regulation; in 2027 it falls on a Tuesday.
